Yes, that’s right, we’re pregnant again! Whoo-hoo!

Catching up…

November 20, 2006

Well, I just realized that I haven’t posted here since our trip to Calgary last Fall. Of course, much has happened in the life of our almost 22 month old since then.

We spent Christmas with my parents and my brother’s family. That was pretty awesome since we never expected my Mom to live long enough to even see Darling Daughter born — yet she got to spend her first Christmas with her. 18 days later, my Mom died.

DD had her second plane trip as we took off to Portland to do a memorial service and spread my Mom’s ashes in the ocean. She spent her first birthday at the beach.

The next few months were a whirl of activity and it has been a blast watching her grow up. Many of the pictures below are from her third plane trip. We went to California for a conference and got to see my Aunt Beverly, took a trip to Elmshaven, and spent some time with friends in Sunnyvale — where we went to the beach not far from their house. It was a good trip.

Darling D now speaks in sentences and is exercising her independence. She is getting big and quite agile. Sone of our favorite things to do are to play on the couch, wrestle, play with Legos, and her Noah’s Ark. We read often and I love to be with her.

The Wife is the best Mom I’ve ever observed. I fall more in love with her all the time!!

What a Mom!

Last week we flew to Calgary, Alberta to attend a conference at Canadian University College — which is about an hour north of Calgary. This is the first time Darling Daughter has flown. She did great! The Wife did an awesome job preparing for the trip and she was very attentive to DD’s needs. It was such a pleasure to travel with them.

The conference lasted over the weekend, and then the three of us spent a couple of days driving through the Canadian Rockies — it was beautiful. We had a great time!

D-Daughter hardly fussed — she loved being in our laps. I loved spending some QT with my two girls!
